The physical body simply wears out and some do so sooner than others and some later. Some were in perfectly good health and just old and some are in bad health and the body succombs sooner in some and later for others. There does not seem to be any rhyme or reason as to why lots of people who are pretty much the same in condition die at so many different ages and times. Why is that exactly? Of course, the other question that comes to mind is that of a certainty, it is appointed unto man once to die (the body) but after this the judgment..

So people of similar health pass at different time intervals instead of all the same. Too much variable there . The constant is that ALL shall eventually lay down this body of flesh while the SPirit, that part of you that is your conscious being and is YOU, will depart from that body and ones guardian angels will take you on to your new home from there.

Thisis why the Bible states clearly that for a person who does believe in Jesus Christ, to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord". O death, where is thy sting? O grave , where is thy victory?

I have stood by the bedside of some very saintly beleivers in my lifetime who were in process of dying, (leaving this body) and watched at the end of that as they opened theor eyes one last time and saw the twinkles and sparkles coming from those eyes which looked Left, then Right at something unseen in the room, (likely their angel waiting to take their spirit to Heaven).

So those experiences have only strengthened my belief and faith that the laying down of this body is not the end of "ME" or anyone else.. The person , their spirit whichis who you are, lives on and is eternal.

Death is only the beginning of a new life in a new everlasting body given them by God Himself in Heaven. It is incorruptible, and perfect, whichis why Nothing corruptible can enter into Heaven or His presence.

Precious in the sight of God is the "death" of His People.. He knows when we are ready because He has appointed each of us a time.

So, now you know what the Bible actually says on that subject. What I did not tell you about was the deathbed experiences I have seen from people who were not believers in Christ..

Anyway, I hope that someday, sometime, you might find the peace and comfort of the salvation of, by, and thru Christ for all humanity.

Re: “We all have an appointed time to die.”
I don't believe that. Oh, sure, the universe may end or go cold on one distant day (And it may not. The jury is still out.), but in a practical sense, I don't think people must have finite lives. After all, there ARE some creatures that don't die. The amoeba is one such. It splits, but neither half "wears out" like people do.

If humanity doesn't exterminate itself, the technology for immortality will exist in less than 200 years. Maybe much sooner than that. Some convincing arguments for immortality in just FIFTY years exist. How long would people live if, for instance, we learn how to clone a replacement body and how to transplant human heads?

LOL, I can see some of you cringing at the thought! But I wouldn't be surprised if, right there, human lifespans could be doubled or tripled.
