If only McCarthy fought the Dems as hard as he’s fighting the conservatives.

I don't like McCarthy. I don't like that he appears to be "politicking" instead of demonstrating service just crowns my dislike of him when I previously only didn't care about him.

McCarthy had YEARS to distinguish himself by taking courageous positions on relevant-to-rule-of-law issues that matter to most of the base of what is now the Republican block of voters. McCarthy was as bland on these issues as is now fiery on his "right" (right because he says so) "to lead".

I think I'd rather have no Speaker of the House than McCarthy...unless he is on a short leash of razorwire...where he can be removed with trivial ease if he doesn't perform. And, even then, I think he is a mistake.

I want Jim Jordan or someone similar.... Why does Jim Jordan want McCarthy? Who are other good people to nominate?

And, at the end of the day, why doesn't McCarthy show more willingness to allow someone else in place of himself? He is acting like just another Pelosi.
