Re: “that mild aching throb from the chest area”
Interesting. That's about how I described the sensation that led to my surgery. But two years later I began getting it again. And three years later. In November I had a fresh echocardiogram done and it found my heart to be in tip-top shape. My ejection fraction was 65% - which is quite good.

When I was pruning a big shrub last week it was acting up in a major way. (It's a pain that's always been worse in cold weather. Last week was definitely cold.) So whatever it is, I guess I'm just going to have to live with it. Maybe you've got something similar. Is it about where your heart is?

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months

I came within an eye blink of being carted off to the hspital by the Nurses at the re-hab for cardio faciity this morning. I noticed when I was exercising on a machine that moves your legs as well as your arms at various tension levels of resistance that my heart area of my chest was starting to cause a little pain. It was mild but because of where it was at I stopped what I was doing.

I do not like attention and am somewhat shy in that regard.

One of the re-hab nurses came over to me and asked what was happening so I made the mistake of teling her I was experiencing some very mild discomfort in my chest right over my heart. I figured it was likely due to me working the machine a little harder today at hiiger resistance level.

She did not see it that way.. So whe told me that I was likely going to get a ride over to the hospital via ambulance, which was just across the street..

I managed to talk her out of it. But she called my cardiologist office to talk with the doc about what I was experiencing. After a cool down period and being watched like a hawk I told her that it had subsided and was gone.

I didn;t want to wind up back in the hospital thru emergency again and I don;t like lots of attention either. SO I lied a little..

In any event my cardiologist got back with her and gave her a list of things I needed to do starting with calling his office and scheduling some more tests. Some kind of special type of an EKG that uses a sonogram also and a nuclear stress test. I guess I am going ballistic.. lol!!!

so I have a new client meeting in Cleveland on the 24th which means I arrive there on the 23rd. So those dates are out.

While I did not want the attention and embarrassment of getting a ride to the ER across the street it still kinda bothers me about having some mild pain from that chest wall over the heart. I keep telling myself and wife its likely muscular from working too hard on that machine.

I really don't want to spend any more time in the hospital either because I hate all the needles and IV's being stuck into me. You do not sleep either and its hard on my wife as well.

So these tests are scheduled for early February one right after the other..

At this moment I am not feeling that mild aching throb from the chest area I had earlier so I am glad it stopped. But I still am puzzled as to why working on one of those exercise machines might have triggered that...

Now I am a little leery of going back until I get a clean evaluation later on..

SO, how's your day going so far? Mine is kinda sucking!
