You can sort of follow him without a lick of math (well, some understanding of WHY gravity is not a force is helpful...some understanding of what the collapse of the wave function is...is helpful).
I thought De or Micro, in particular, might apprecaite this. I regard Penrose as the most under-rated genius at this time. He bridges "art", "philosophy", theoretical physics to a degree I've never seen. This comes from his deep curiosity and contributions to topology (math), general relativity and, especially, black holes (for which he won the Nobel prize), and just ... thinking outside the box about "spiritual" issues and consciousness.
I don't know if anyone else will appreciate this, but I thought I would share first and worry about that later.
