Sir wizard,

that is an interesting analysis...

I am on same page with ya. College ball games are unpredictable and momentum, luck, and raw talent and skill all play and have a role in the game outcomes.

TCU had a great season. I watched them on the t.v several games prior to the CFP. I actually like the school.

And they deserve props for winning out their season in order to go undefeated.

I don;t think Michigan would have a snowball's chance in hades of beating Ohio State if they had played again in the playoffs.

They played hard in the initial matchup and Harbaugh had a bunch of scripted plays and several that were new.

On the other side of the ball were a bunch of players who read too many headlines and did not execute their offense and their defense was on vacation. Michigan laid a slobberknocker on them... They are a good team.

But they are not as talented as the Buckeyes and I would take the Bucks 8 out of ten times if they could play each other in a series like that..

Georgia has exceptionally BIG, strong, athletes at every position and can usually just overpower most teams.

That did not happen against Ohio State but it showed against TCU who played hard but were just overmatched by larger and stronger athletes.

The SEC calling card is extra large offensive and defensive linemen.. They dominate the lines of scrimmage and live in the offensive teams backfield.. Its what almost all those teams are built like if they hope to ever have a chance against Georgia or Alabama.

IF TCU happens to play U.C. Bearcats in the Big 12 conference next year, look for TCU to win.

Its a rebuilding year with a brand new head coach and lots of new players for the Bearcats.. It will be an ugly football season imo.

I believe Georgia is undisputed champion of college futzball this year and we'll wait and see if Alamaba
re-emerges next season.. Too early to tell... I expect Th Dawgs to compete for the SEC title again and the national title both..

TCU had a great season and should celebrate that accomplishment. I am sure the youngsters on the team will remember and talk about it decades later even as my brother in law does about the Ohio State - Michigan game at Ohio Stadium in 1974 -75 season.. He was the place kicker and played for Woody Hayes. He was the first ever soccer style place kicker Ohio State ever had. And he won the game in the blizzard kicking the winning field goal from 42 years into the driving wind and snow to win the game by 3 pointslate in the 4th quarter.

The game ball is under glass and signed by all the players and coaches including Woody Hayes sitting in prominant place in his house..

So, its a game of memories and the youngsters at TCU created some great ones this season they will remember all the rest of their lives..

It was a good seasonto watch college futzball!

Dawgs proved they were the much better team. TCU proved they were not ready to play that night. But, if as you say ... they "proved that TCU did not belong in the Top 4 of the college football playoffs" ... then, you will also be admitting that Michigan did not belong in the Top 4, either ... because TCU beat them in the semi-final game. And, that Michigan team beat Ohio State convincingly. I watched that game ... Ohio State wasn't bamboozled by trick plays ... Michigan simply outplayed them. But, I give Ohio State credit for giving it everything they had in a heart-breaking semi-final loss to Georgia.

Yep ... TCU didn't show up and got whooped by an awesome Georgia football team. It happens. Everyone knew beforehand that TCU would have to play a flawless game in order to have any shot against Georgia ... and if they didn't, it was gonna be a blowout.

In truth, this year, I expect Georgia would win the championship game 9 times out of 10 no matter who they played - TCU, Michigan, Ohio State, and even Alabama. I don't believe the lopsided score against TCU is indicative of much at all.
