Re: “Next Friday night, the low is slated to be -4°. ”
The forecast has changed already. -13° would, I think, be the lowest I've experienced. Also, the wind would be significant.

But Friday is almost 6 days from now. The forecast will change again. And, of course, GLOBAL WARMING!!!

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months

Re: “Looks like DE has more to look forward to.. Hope it goes north of him...”
Next Friday night, the low is slated to be -4°. That will be the lowest we've had this winter by a full 12°. The high on Saturday will be just 8°, tying the lowest low we'd had all season.

I'm not complaining. For one, the cold spell is going to shoot through here very quickly. Sunday's temperatures will essentially be normal. For a second, - 4° is still warmer then we see most years. And finally, this is all a week away. The meteorologists' predictions are never right that far in advance.

BTW, right now, my house has the largest icicles ever. The one at the front door and the one directly above it hanging from the second story roof are each 5' long. I wouldn't want to be under them when they come down!
