Being in a more rural area, I presume your electrical lines are above ground ... here, in the more recently built (last several decades) parts of the city, ours are underground. Earlier this week, we had lots of ice ... covering the roads, collecting on the trees (bending them down) and on the power lines, and generally turning everything into an ice skating rink. Some people lost power due to trees bending down into above-ground power lines and the weight of the ice on the lines, themselves, but fortunately, we never lost power. But, today, we are supposed to get up into the sixties, so that's all behind us, for now.
