I don't care about Putin winning. I care very much about him not being "defeated". And, yes, I want very much to see the US and European governments have their teeth proverbially kicked in.

You can have US "military might" or you can have US freedom. You can't have both. Sorry, you can't; not so long as enemies domestic control the military.

Some people don't seem to get that basic equation. It is just math.
