“It was because he could take any class he wanted, that Steve Jobs sat in on ones about calligraphy and typography.

He was already reading, he said, "more outside of just science and technology," and by this stage was steeped both in computing and the liberal arts.”

A nice piece about the man who has changed the world. Not sure it is all positive, so far, but I consider it an honor to have lived in his time, experienced his unique visionary mind, and actually worked for him.

As a side note, those who put down liberal arts education are unable to do anything mankind would thank them for. Engineers do not make insanely great products, visionaries do. Many of Apple’s workforce have had no engineering degrees. Look at Joswiak, he couldn’t go a step beyond engineering after he developed the first Apple hardware. He still doesn’t get it. The reason the Koreans and the Chinese still can’t beat us and Apple especially is because they are engineers and nothing more.

The tweet from Cook on this piece has Steve pegged to a tee.
