...I have an battery powered chainsaw. It's small, but is great for delimbing trees and cutting them up. Not big trees of course but a temporary shelter doesn't have to have big trees. I thought the trees the guy was using in the vid were a ot bigger than necessary. Good theory though. I had some concern about the flat roof. They tend to collect water and or snow.

Re: “Clever Survival Thingy” Those who have watched the 'Alone' TV show know how difficult it is to build much of anything without power tools. I've sometimes thought of giving it a whirl when I'm at the new property. If I do, I *will* use a chainsaw.
