I took my woman to a Captain-D's fish restaurant. Getting up on the Interstate was looking problematic, so we 'went around' then down the Boulevard (Va Beach Blvd) and reached a Captain D's. Somehow I managed to get south of the Interstate, then north of the Interstate again so I could go by my post office to check my box. After that, trying to go East and south of the Interstate again proved to be IMPOSSIBLE. Three hours later we finally managed to get home again.
What happened?
That senile dog turd decided he wanted to make 'an appearance' in Va Beach and 'they' shut down the Interstate and EVERY road going over or under it for over three and a half hours so's his 'presidential motorcade' could travel unimpeded with no fear of somebody detonating a truck bomb under it.
Traffic was a nightmare. Nobody could travel north to south or south to north . . . And a LOT of people need to do just that.
Congrats on selling the "boat". My daughter is in Virginia in a nice, well layed out subdivision of homes with lots of navy seals for neighbors. Its actually a really nice residential area off of Indian River rd. if memory serves.
It's really nice there. The only drawback is the constant all day drone of naval fighter jets in pairs coming in from the ocean to do touch and go landings and fly back out again in pairs. They are very low and very noisy. I guess people get used to them but I don't.
Anyway, imo, ya can't go wrong with the southern suburbs of Virginia Beach. About 5 miles from the ocean.
