Some Republicans are now saying that Trump was indicted so as to force them to nominate him for president. The theory is that the MAGA crowd will now force the Republicans to nominate him because he'll be easier to beat than a DeSantis or a Haley. Some are suggesting that this is the only reason that they're going after Trump, to make it impossible for anyone else to get the nomination because the RNC will be too afraid of Trump's supporters and will not allow a fair primary process.
