Beldin:

Do you really think DeSantis has anywhere near the amount of fight and willingness to fight to the death (his own) in what is clearly NOT a political battle? I'd like to say "yes". But I don't think so.

I think DeSantis is a good politician and civil administrator. And he has not had to stand up to even 1/1000th of what Trump has endured to date.

I've gone back and forth on Trump in 2024. I'm beginning to think DeSantis is either owned or can relatively easily be brought to heel by the Deep State. In normal times DeSantis would probably make a really great President. This is WW3 and it is being fought on US soil by Enemies Domestic.

Trump seems to understand that. If you saw his final 2016 speeches and advertisements, Trump appears to have always understood it...even if he didn't fully understand just how strong his "Swamp" was.

I'm afraid Trump may have worn out his welcome with too many people to get himself re-elected. I'd rather see DeSantis take over the reins, but Trump certainly is not going to bow out gracefully - not his style. If they butt heads, it will be just as much Trump's fault, as that of DeSantis. Personally, I think DeSantis has shown much more mature composure in dealing with Trump than the other way around.
