Just a short reply.

Please take a ;ook in Genesis and read about Noah. Also, early on we have an account of Adam and eve who knew God and taught their children about HIM and they also had [personal experience with HIM.

Noah was a Preacher. He preached Christ to all he could. They laughed at him and like most people today whom I have gone door to door in many subdivisions asking folks about their relationship or God, they chose NOT to lkisten and reject the messagenger and the message.

Nature itself shows the wondrous works of a divine creator and the Apostle Paul addresses that and unbelievers who can plainly see that that there must be a living GOD who created that.

Unfortunately the scientific community of unbelievers scoff at the the creation as accounted for in scripture because it does not fit their narrative of happenstance .

Anyway, without delving any farther and hopefully remember that GOD always had messengers who shared Faith in GOD and a COMING Savior as was told to Abraham and then later again to Moses. Moses had the advantage of God revealing himself and Abraham had two visitors from Heaven, one of whom many believe was an angel who was sent directly from God from His Throne to give him instruction and news.

So the scriptures are full of information in various places and times dating clear back to Adam and Eve, the very first people who had a direct relationship and their children, who passsed that on to their children, and so on and so on......

Consider LOT.. He was not a Jew yet he was a firm believer in the Lord God.. He had a great relationship with God and goiong thru trials his steadfast faith was accounted to him for righteousness.

Anyway, great question and I hope I may have shed a tiny amount of light for you.

Have a wonderful day!

Re: “All who have trusted Christ have their names recorded in the Lamb's Book of Life.”
I'll look forward to the longer explanation. (I hope you have the energy for such a complicated reply.) It's totally understandable, by the way, if you don't have an explanation. There are some things that fall into the purview of "The Lord works in mysterious ways," after all. In that case, no sweat.

Remember: I'm wondering about the hundreds or possibly thousands of generations of people who came BEFORE Christ. They couldn't very well have faith in him . . . since the salvation he would one day offer came thousands or tens of thousands of years too late. It has always seemed to me that all those people were more or less screwed and just forgotten by Christian minsters because they are, literally, dead and buried in the distant past. Forgetting them is easy and works for most people. Unfortunately, I'm here, always looking for things that don't make much sense.

There is no reason I can see why God should care about me and not about them. So this is something I find disturbing.

I continue to believe, by the way, in the multiple-worlds theory of quantum physics. There are only two possibilities that have been posited and which cover everything we can experimentally test: The Copenhagen Theory that says, among other things, that all of the universe's particles "decide" when they get measured or are detected what it is that they did (the theory practically imparts them with intelligence!), and the Multiple-worlds Theory that says that every time a particle can act in more than one way, all of those things happen and the universe splits. In such a universe, the path from past to future is not linear. There are virtually infinite futures and we only get to see one of them.

Why am I bringing this up? Because "Heaven" loses a lot of its significance if there are an infinite number of "me's" and only some of them gain admission.

But I am genuinely interested in your answer. Thanks! (And have a terrific, HEALTHY Easter!)
