Yes, Virginia, #Democrats do commit MOST of the gun crime in America. Here's the data:
As of 2016, approximately 53,406 white and 160,211 black prisoners currently incarcerated for committing a crime with a gun (the data hasn't really changed much since then) for a total of 213,616 prisoners.
White voters split around 50/50 Democrat vs. Republican while black voters split about 90/10 (D vs. R). That means ~43,000 of those convicted of gun crime are Republican and ~171,000 are Democrats.
Yes, 80% of those convicted for gun crimes are Democrats.
Fairly clear analysis... and if it was even reasonably close it might be arguable... but this isn't even remotely close.
And yeah... some folks might claim "that's only proof that black neighborhoods are overpoliced"... to which I'll point out that these are CONVICTIONS, not arrests... and even if there was some bias (which I dispute), it wouldn't come close to being FOUR TIMES greater.
