I do not mean to nor intend to speak for my fellow Marine and brother, but may I add one small tidbit to Sir Beldin's post which was very accurate?
I understand exactly what our resident Frog King is saying and why he is saying that.
Marines are trained to push forward and annhilate the enemy when that opportunity exists.
He and I both were in southeast Asia in NAm. We fought against commie aggression and we had leadership at the highest level that really just did not want to win the war.
It could have been won and should have been decisively won and pushed those commie bastards back across their own border up north. My platoon was involved in killing Charlie when we ran into him on more than one occasion.
We did not walk away from the battlefield. We did our duty and obeyed our orders. We kicked Charlie's arse with a vengeance.
There was imo no need to do anything other than for leadership to decide they wanted to win this instead of screwing around and pretending and getting plenty of young lives killed or maimed in the process.
Ribit and I share some viewpoints about commies because we have met them face to face and trust me when I say, they don't like us, (American people or freedom) one bit.
They want to eradicate us and every other non commie government by any means possible.
I just thought I would share the Marine vet's thoughts on communism because we have seen it up close and personal.
Just my thoughts. Nothing is written in stone except my utter hatred of communism/Marxism .
Semper Fi Ribs!
