Thanks again, Micro.

As I said before, what I appreciated about that exercise plan is (1) TIMED and with a score card to track practice (2) Major muscle groups (3) No equipment (so no excuse when travelling, etc.). Hopefully I will find a card online I can print out.

Some people seem to really get enjoyment from exercising. Sadly, that isn't me (and, truth be told, it doesn's appear to be one person in 20, or Americans wouldn't be overweight and unfit, especially at age 65). So, with my own weakness in mind, I need to remove the "I don't feel like it" bottleneck from my day and just make it part of a routine.

At least that is my plan. I've had exercise plans before, but I keep falling off the wagon.

I think I am running out of 2nd chances to get a workable scheme implemented and followed well enough. I don't think I can commit to more than 15 minutes and, in truth, five minutes is probably more realistic if I am going to make this an everyday thing, no excuses, no days off for travel nor ill health.

well sir,

while I realize it aint the same as running uphill for miles at boot camp or doing the daily morning routines of getting exercised by our CO's, That CAF book I had and wish I could put my hands on it, was pretty tough.

It would definitely help get anyone in shape and build stamina. I am pretty sure it was not intended for older geezers like you and me but there are somethings in it I could do like the basic pushups, situps, squat thrusts, etc. I did them about ten years ago when I was feeling a bit out of shape and had this idea that I could could remedy that by doing this routine. It worked.

AS you well know, anytime anyone that has a little seasoning on them, should start out gradually so they don't injure muscles or tendons.

I hope Fiz accomplishes what he has set his sights on. Some good exercise even if not for real long, but done daily, will help anyone.. Even me.

Unfortunately, between my articial joints and the arthritis in the others that have not yet been replaced but are on a waiting list, I limit myself to just walking as much as I can before wearing out. My stamina really sucks right now. I know I need to build it but then when I walk too much I wind up reaggravating mmy right hip and knee which then makes me immobile for a couple days.

Anyway, go at it Fiz and don't stop. Start off SLOWLY. BUILD UP GRADUALLY. You are not trying out for the military but getting some exercise and in a little better shape is a great thing.

Have a wonderful day everyone.

micro.
