Sorry to hear. I will have to go thru that at some point with my right knee as well but it ain't gonna be this year.
I have had enough of hospitals and surgeons and being opened up like can of tuna for one year...

I have a friend in Chicago far west suburban area who had his right knee replaced about 6 weeks ago and he is doing exceptionally well. He was a basketball player in college and still plays in a mens league up there and he is my age.. Only he can still run , is thin and long legged, about 6 foot 3 inches, and in much better physical shape than me..

My wife had her knee replaced about 15 years ago and that was like stone ages for this procedure compared to now.

Living in pain from a surgery is not a lot of fun so thankfully they gave you some pain pills to help take your mind off it..

Hang in there Beldin.. I will add you to my prayer list for healing and easing of pain..

Take it easy big guy!

Well, "resurfaced" would be a more apt description in my opinion.

The professional sadists ... uh, "physical therapists" ... had me up on a walker in the recovery room shortly after I woke up from surgery. The first one told me to walk down the hall, turn around, and come back ... and that he would be timing me. So, I took off, and the first therapist quickly said, "Hey, slow down ... this isn't a race!" I responded, "You said I was being timed." The second therapist said, "You're competitive, aren't you?" I said, "Yeah, of course ... what gave me away?" They sent me to the next recovery room where they gave me an Oxy pill, watched me for another hour or so, and then sent me home.

The knee is still a little stiff (can bend it about 90 degrees), but no pain. I've been walking around the house with a walker with no troubles ... actually, could walk around without the walker, but they don't want me to take a chance of falling in the early going. I have my first torture (physical therapy) session later this afternoon.
