Point #1. Defense spending, including what has been sent to Ukraine is a small fraction of overall spending. Biden and the demo-rats and much of the rest of congress spending megatons of money 'We Ain't Got' is what is bringing U.S. closer to collapse. (Re-read Beldins previous message for just one example.)

Point #2. What is it worth to the U.S. to keep Russians / Chinese / who-ever else from invading and stealing the more lucrative parts of our real estate?

Fiz > The problem is a LOT deeper than win-lose in a strict kinetic metric, literally immeasurably deeper. Try thinking outside the box -— China certainly is.

For the short sided who might be reading . . . There are two games going on here. Russia - playing the short - old school - game. Using force of arms to expand their tax base and threats of nuclear armageddon in hopes of rebuilding their empire. And China - working at conquering the world without having to destroy it.

With Russia, a relatively modest investment in arming and training the Ukrainians has led to the destruction of the once feared 'Russian Army'. A relatively modest investment in American Moneys has cause Russia to lose a LOT more - both in terms of tanks and other 'war toys' lost and in terms of lost young male soldiers.

China is now the bigger threat. And China is playing the 'long game'. However, China's 'methods' for expanding their tax base and other practices have many of their neighbors worried and they are beginning to come together as something semi-related to a 'NATO East'.

Our two biggest problems are biden and the lying thieving treasonous traitorous demo-rats AND a congress that thinks it is OK to steal and spend money on all their pet projects irregardless of what the Constitution says.

Zim : "
I'd like to go on the record and say that if Ukrains's offensive is successful, it is NOT because biden did anything right.

Let U.S. not forget that it was Trump that sent Javelin anti-tank missiles to Ukraine along with the trainers."

Point #1 is fair enough. But how, exactly, would you define “successful”? Obviously, if Russia implodes and/or gives Eastern Ukraine back to the domination of Ukraine, many are going to call that "success". But, in the larger picture, I question whether calling even THAT “success” is very wise, or even correct. No matter how this thing turns out, if it doesn't become net PROFITABLE for the US, the US will be much closer to an ugly collapse. The problem is a LOT deeper than win-lose in a strict kinetic metric, literally immeasurably deeper. Try thinking outside the box -— China certainly is.

Point #2? Do you see Trump's effort as a failure? I'm pretty sure Trump sent anti-tank missiles to Ukraine as ONE preemptive measure—sort of like buying a smoke detector for your house. It isn't the smoke detector's failure if children play with matches.

For the record, I'd like to go on record as saying that even if Ukraine's offensive is successful, it does not mean the US was either successful or wise in meddling in Ukraine governance or provoking and funding this war. Shooting oneself in the head, in order to convince the wife we meant it when we said "over my dead body", comes to mind.
