Re: “Except she cannot. Arizona passed a transgender sports ban. Any opportunity she had to try something new was taken from her.”
Nonsense. I'm certain that this lady's SON is free to try out for any of the boy sports. And if he's not good enough to make a team or, once in a boy's sport, to win, well, boo hoo. Tough break.

I was very small in high school. Same for my son. No sports for either of us. Life has its disappointments. I had to spend my time on other things. My son was in scouts. He also became strong in piano, and choir, and acting, and trivia, and band, and languages, and math and . . . it worked out well for him. Unlike this lady's son, he wasn't a whiner about the things that he COULDN'T do.

Fortunately, kids today have plenty of options. They don't all involve trophies or beating peers who don't share their physical attributes. I suggest this woman tell her son to find a DIFFERENT school activity and work hard to get good at it.

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months

Arizona law blocked my daughter from playing high school sports

http://www.yahoo.com/news/arizona-law-blocked-daughter-playing-120114362.html

Today there is a national attempt to ban trans students from sports.

My daughter attends a small school that has always encouraged students to try new things, so it makes every effort to have a wide variety of sports, arts, music and other extracurricular activities.

School officials strongly feel that a desire to try something is all that’s needed, and any skill can be learned along the way.

Last school year my daughter wanted to try track. Unfortunately, there wasn’t enough interest at the time to be able to field a team. It was her junior year, and she could always try again her senior year.

Except she cannot. Arizona passed a transgender sports ban. Any opportunity she had to try something new was taken from her.

She’s not trying to “steal opportunities” or any other phobic garbage.

Zim: In other words, your 'daughter' is NOT really a girl and has no business competing against REAL girls.

I feel sorry for the kid. 'He' has apparently been neutered by parent(s) who facilitated any chance for their kid to grow up before making irrevocable changes to 'he/she/it's body.

Zim.
