Re: Today
We drove to Nashua today to pick up the auction items from last week. There were eleven, I think. Everything was there, intact and as advertised, so I was happy.
At home, we found that the uranium glass fluoresces as it should. They are very small glasses. I had expected something the size of a wine glass, but these are more like shot glasses. Ah well. Still nice, but probably not something I'll retire on.
My wife wanted to visit a thrift store, so we did that too. By that time, I needed to use a john. My wife asked an employee if the store had one. "Yes," she replied. "The door is locked. Follow me." "Go with her," my wife said. "Oh," the employee said. "It's for a man?" She walked to the registers and yelled to one of the guys. "Hey, we've got a BATHROOM, MAN! Can you take it?" Apparently he couldn't, so she pointed to the back of the store and told me to wait there for someone to let me in. I was halfway there when I heard her voice on the store's P.A.: "CODE B.M.! CODE B.M.! IMMEDIATE ASSISTANCE FOR A CODE B.M.!"
It's been hours and I'm still laughing. 3 pics follow:
Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months |
