We looked in Virginia, then West Virginia, then western South Carolina. Back down to Florida and now back to Virginia on the Chesapeake Bay.
Land is extremely expensive. Even in the mountains of South Carolina it was high. I was hoping to find 25 to 35 acres for $150-$200k. I don’t think that’s going to happen.
I don’t think we’ll be building a house. At least not a stick built house. Maybe a kit House of some kind. Best would be to find land with a liveable farm house on it. We don’t need a big house, we lived on a boat so we’re use to not having much room.
