This is my second rotator cuff surgery, so I have a fair idea what to expect. Six weeks in a sling, and at least 6 months of Personal Torture - I mean Physical Therapy - sessions.
At least this time, it will be my right (non-dominant) arm which should be a little easier. I know when we did my left arm, it made me crazy - I couldn't even write for nearly 6 weeks... poor De had to sign all the checks.
Surprisingly, my right shoulder had more wrong with it than the left one did. Not only is the bicep tendon mostly detached, the rotator cuff was torn by a bone spur that has come up right in the middle of it.
I always say, when I screw something up, I don't do it halfway.
