Don't worry, MrsDe, micro, and the rest of you old farts ... we'll get to where we're going eventually.

The most painful thing she will experience is when a PT removes her arm from that sling for the first time... That shoulder does not want to move easily.
I am glad to hear that the surgeons went ahead a cleaned up the arthritis and did the needed repair work on the tendons.

My clavicle had more eagle claw bone spurs on it than one could count. They were literally shredding my rotator cuff muscles into hamburger every time that shoulder moved.
I hope Mrs. De recovers nicely and by the time she is thru PT , regaining all the motion in her shoulder again without pain, that she will return to her normal physiological state and use that arm and shoulder again without the pain.

It's a painful surgery to recover from. Yer shoulder and arm does not want to move. It is happy being left alone..

Get well soon Mrs. De. I feel your pain having gone thru two of those same surgeries in back to back years to the day.

Did ya get a pain ball and a tube put in the incision in the joint that released pain med directly into the joint?

If ya did, that will help a bunch. You also will know beyond doubt when that pain med in the ball like holder runs out.. You will not have to guess. That's when the Percocet tablets come into play.

I'll be praying for healing and your recovery, and Thanking God for bringing you thru safely and giving your surgeon the skill and wisdom needed to fix you up..

You rest and heal and get better. It will take some time and then therapy will be needed to regain motion again.

I feel your pain.

Get well soon!Very Happy Thumbs Up
