De: "Trump made the federal debt MUCH worse. We're still on that same bus headed for that same cliff."
Well, yes. But no...or maybe it is the same cliff, but the angle of approach has changed quite a bit. So much so, in fact, that it is possible that the entirety of the bus doesn't have to go over.
Let me explain. Think back to before Trump. Hillary was a foregone conclusion, and I think she was meant to be the nail in the coffin of the Republic. And I think she would have succeeded, too, with the RINOs and NeoCons actually on her team (whether they knew it or not). You remember what it was like, don't you? Think back just 8 years: No real alternative. No real dispute, on either side, but that we needed bigger government...and would get it. McCain vs. Obama; Romney vs. Obama. To borrow a quote:-> "We have always been at war with Oceana." History was erased and people thought skyscrapers really pancake when they are hit by a plane. And everything else was just "Conspiracy Theory".
The other thing you are missing is that Chapter 7 bankruptcy for the US government would be the end of "Land of the Free". Do you remember when Trump, during public debate, implicitly acknowledged that we were likely going there, saying that THAT is what made him the perfect candidate: because he was an expert on declaring bankruptcy.
The US people (only half of them remain) COULD have a really bright future once again, if we got back to limited Constitutional government, States Rights over Federal, NO FOREIGN WARS, no Central Pranking, etc. It might take us twenty years, as we would likely need to separate the territory into two or more sections: those who wanted individualism and those who wanted slavery; those who wanted peace and those who wanted war.
We don't need half the territory, we probably don't need a third. We might not need a fiftieth (although some energy and some seacoast would be nice). And, yes, the Confederates had it right when they thought they should be allowed to secede from Lincoln's Roach Motel. They had joined a voluntary association; who had the moral right to say they couldn't leave?
And the US Constitution was NEVER the US government, nor its wars, nor its Bankster money. The US Constitution was always only a minority of the US population...those who could dream of real autonomy and not just warmed-over voluntary servitude. Zim and Rbit can't handle that? That's okay; There is plenty of real estate—Illinois has a place for them, I am sure. They can fight wars without leaving home: either on their video consoles or on the street. The United States was never its territory; nor its government. And just because you now carry US citizenship doesn't mean you actually carry the American spirit.
Trump changed the perception of what was possible, what was acceptable. He fundamentally unbalanced The Equation! The division of the US into slaves and NeoCons on the one side, Sovereign Individualists on the other, would not be the end. It could actually be the foundation for a new beginning.
Is that a certainty? Of course not! Nothing ever is a certainty! It is like that Schrödinger's cat you keep talking about! But it is possible: Once we declare bankruptcy!
And with that sort of radical return to our roots, we Spiritual Heirs to severely Limited Government, COULD remake everything in a matter of a few years. Look at the 2021 Great Depression, to see how quickly a bankruptcy can be overcome. Or a Trump bankruptcy! Yes, you would not get your USD pension because all the debt would need to be discharged in bankruptcy. But that has been done plenty of times before. It isn't that radical an idea.
Russia did not pay off the debt of the USSR. France did not pay off the debt of the French Kings. China did not pay off the debt of the Chinese emperors. Etc. The ILLEGAL US debt cannot be paid off, so it will not be paid off. Bite the Bullet - and spit it out. Good riddance! The US Totalitarian Dictatorship, and its Ponzi money, needs to die in winter, in order for flowers to bloom again in the fields of the spring!
I think I am going to go back to sleep now...and dream!
