Climate in Ecuador

Ecuador climate: average weather, temperature, precipitation
The average temperature ranges from 26 °C (79 °F) in the Southern Hemisphere's summer (December-January) to 23 °C (73 °F) in winter (with July as the coolest month). Relative humidity is constantly high and makes the heat sweltering. In the central area of the country, along the eastern slopes of the Andes, we find the rainiest part of the country.

Climate in Ecuador: A Variety of Weather in One Country
The equator is less than 20 miles north of the city, yet at an altitude of 9,350 feet (2,900 meters), Quito's climate is spring-like year around: about 50 F at night and as high as 76 F during the day. The sun makes the difference.

Remember, Ecuador is a tropical type country. HOT most of the time. (Unless one enjoys air almost too thin to breathe . . .)
