Thanks for this, also! I have three comments:
(1) Notice how Ecuador citizens handle high poverty WAY better than US residents handle affluence (the poorest US citizens often still own phones, cars, and eat at fast food joints; relatively actually RICH compared to most of the world).
(2) The graph shows 75% poverty as recently as 2000. So the slight climb in recent years is still like heaven on earth compared to what they can handle without going feral / nuts.
(3) Just imagine how ugly our super-entitled ersatz "poor", and even our middle class, will become when they get what they have coming to them and meet Ecuador half-way in the coming decade.
#3, alone, should make you want to try out a more impoverished country, while you can still practice.
