You would think that when something is as simple as basic algebra, basic logic, it wouldn't be difficult to get the vast majority of humans to understand it. Then you would need a moral choice: should this be encouraged or squelched; do YOU want more of it...or less?
You would think that, but that isn't what happens.
It doesn't happen with corruption which crosses party lines.
It doesn't happen with things like black criminals being conflated with BLM.
It doesn't happen with Christians defending fetuses, because "Thou Shall Not Kill", but then supporting killing in foreign lands, aka, because...EXCEPT WHEN we have a rationalization or gain some profit.
I would think that with all this disclosure, along with the disclosure that humans who act dumb as a doorknob when it comes to rising above themseleves and their their dumb-as-a-doorknob "thinking" (conflating emotional states with logic, very much akin to the way an advanced alcoholic or child molester does) MUST GO EXTINCT, that something would change. Or be changed. Or, at least, we could have an agreement to TRY to change!
But, no. The stupid goes on. And on. And on.
And now we have AI which can do most of the trivia humans have long reserved for themselves, as their evidence that they are somehow “conscious” and “rational” putting us to the lie.
It's going to be a very interesting five years. Will we pass the test? I vote that if we don't get it this time humans, need to go extinct. Just to end the endless Groundhog Day loop.
Or...wake up and change dramatically. Go where the AI cannot yet go!
And, yes, there ought to be an end to the FBI as we know it. In fact, there needs to be an end to government as we know it. I honestly think we should try government by AI. Yes, the system must be open sourced and there must be a switch to turn it off if it goes bonkers. But humans need a babysitter; and the babysitter cannot be other humans, disingenuously known as “civil servants” and “government workers” and “career politicians”.
Put differently: This is purgatory. Will YOU pass the test, realize you are reading from a shopworn script, rise above yourself, and get out?
That is what I am asking myself, again, this morning.
