A group of Democrat (and one Independent) senators held a press conference today. The reason? They were there to urge President Biden to go around Congress and unilaterally raise the debt ceiling. Nothing says “Constitution” quite like members of Congress trying to render their branch of government as irrelevant:

Ah, Bernie ... you're such a grimy lil' Marxist stooge. All the Republicans want to do is go back to the budget prior to the Covid outbreak. The only cuts being proposed are to the vast spending increases that you want to flush down the toilet (and into your pockets) like a drunken sailor on shore leave. YOU are the one doing incalculable damage to the lives of working Americans by spending money we don't have and ruining the economy with runaway inflation.
