I don't blame you. He'll soon be in the record books as second only to the amazing Novak Djokovic, who *I* have always liked.
I think Djokovic has another five grand slam victories in him. What do you think?
I gotta wonder if Nadal is retiring because of that mysterious 2022 degenerative illness he contracted after being vaccinated the same year. Do you remember that? After he'd mocked Djokovic for opting to step away from the Australian open rather than kowtow to the authorities' demands that he get the jab? It'd sure be ironic. Nadal is finished. Djokovic, though, keeps right on going. The smartest man in tennis.
Perhaps you remember my post to zz, here on BAF - in January 2022 - in which I told him that "I understand your jealousy. Vaccines and boosters have permanently compromised peoples' immune systems" Well, guess what Nadal is retiring from, Sweetcheeks? A form of arthritis. An immune system failure. While the odds of any given person contracting arthritis aren't that bad, the odds of Nadal contracting it at such a young age and so quickly after taking poorly-tested mRNA shots ARE that bad - unless, of course, the mRNA shots are what did this to him.
It's too bad about Nadal's career and his chances to be regarded as the best ever. But, as I also said in that post to ZZ:
"For what reason did you give that up? To avoid dying from something that 99.997% of infected persons survive." It's as if Rafi Nadal threw away his career out of fear of a flea bite - because NOBODY his age and health needed to fear Covid-19.
