Based upon this, together with repeated signals coming out of the Biden Kleptocracy, indicates US is expecting this to become another "forever war". Forever draining the US of wealth and the citizens of freedom; forever enriching the folks who run the military industrial complex; forever forcing the US into final bankruptcy and irrelevance.
So, perhaps not the decisive "winter offensive" De was predicting but rather something more important: Crushing defeat for the POS US military leadership and another Great Victory for China!!!!!
If only the NeoCons had a brain big enough to think long-term strategically, and in terms of wars where the kinetics are just a side show. The bright side? Eventually, the US may declare defeat the USSR Commies. Oh, wait, that happened thirty years ago! But Russia! Russia! Russia! keeps meddling in our elections!

Head of the Russian private military group Wagner, Yevgeny Prigozhin, has announced Saturday that after months of grinding warfare and heavy casualties, Russia has now taken full control of the strategic city of Bakhmut.
Prigozhin is announcing final victory and that Bakhmut has finally fallen. "The operation to capture Bakhmut lasted 224 days" he said in a video posted to Wagner's Telegram channel. "Today at noon, Bakhmut was fully captured," he declared.
