I may have told ya that earlier this year I was forced by miz micro, slave driver extraordinairess, to go to an audioilogist to have my hearing checked.
Well, turns out that even a blind squirrel gets an occasional acorn and hence I required hearing aids in both ears.
Toomany years of high tonnage presses pounding away and the standard foam ya shoves in yer ears was not adequate protection. I now use hearing ear muffs when I mow the lawn on the tractor to not degrade it any farther. The one I have is called Thnder 29 from Home Depot and reduxces noise by 29 decibels. I hear NOTHING when I have these on and operating the lawn tractor.
But now, my right hearing aid is doing NOTHING. It has ceased working after only a few months. The top of the line aids made by PHONAK, the leader in technology for hearing aids.
I have tried everything I can to see about getting this aid working to no avail so today I am taking them back to the audiologist and want a real explanation as to why this happened and what will keep it from happening again. Otherwise I want a new pair of hearing aids.. These were SIX grand.. Top of the line. I could have spent a whole lot less and gotten something else but I liked the various technologies built in to these so we got them.
Seems like Quality these days is almost non-existent..
I have better things to do than waste time at the audiolist with something I should not have to be doing..
I am tired, irritable, dizzy, and wore out from driving up and back to Mentor, east of Cleveland, in afternoon up and late morning coming back. I guess my stamina ain't back up to par yet..
