By itself you are 100 percent right.. Its bland.

BUT, I only will make a caouple servings of this during the winter AND ya has to add things to it that make it tasty and yummy.

I start with Brown sugar and cinnamon.. Mixed well until sweetened. Then, add some fruit like blueberries or cut up strawberries, or banana slices on top and even a little maple syrup stirred in.. Ya could even add a few walnut pieces in their also..

Now we are talkin.. I love all the fruit and the walnut pieces are good for ya too. I eat blueberries, fresh cut up strawberries, peaches when in season, and occasionally a sliced up banana in my oatmeal. Old fashioned whole oats. Not the mush..

But GRITS?????? I have to draw the line somewhere and for myself, that is the line.. Laughing Laughing Very Happy

Now last time I remember eating grits . . .
As I recall it looked more like cream-of-wheat except it had better flavor and more texture. Went good with the omelet I was eating.
