"Mikey Likes It!" was another term they coined about the same time.
In Nam back in mid sixties we got what was called C-Rations. There were 12 different meals and all were edible except for the "Ham and Lima's" The rest weren't too bad but they got boring so we learned to spice em up a bit to make em more flavorful. There was no grits meal which probably accounts for our losing that one.
Liberals are like a "Slinky". Totally useless, but somehow ya can't help but smile when you see one tumble down a flight of stairs!
