- 4 F16 fighter jets were scrambled to intercept the plane

- 2 Jets intercepted the plane at 3:20PM ET and reported that the private jet pilot was unresponsive.

Fighter jets from Joint Base Andrews scrambled to intercept a private plane over Virginia Sunday afternoon, causing a sonic boom that reverberated across the area, officials said. The Cessna crashed later in Southwest Virginia.

The plane was a Citation V biz jet
It crashed going 500+ and descending at 8,000 ft min
Owner of the plane Encore Motors of Melbourne, Fla.
The owner said his entire family was on the plane.
