The Revolutionary War was eight years. The Civil War was four.

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months

Zim "If Russia was capable of 'winning the war' they would have won it a long time ago."

If you apply the same sieve to prior US wars, including WW2, and the US proxy war in Ukraine, virtually all wars are excluded.

Are you saying the US never won any war which extended beyond two years? I might agree with that. WW2 is the only war I can think of which exceeded two years and MIGHT qualify as a clear "win" (although it appears to have cost us our Constitution and our Republic in the long run).
