...I believe the seat is supported by springs and if ya look ya wil see places for more or fewer springs for additional support. The springs from your old cub cadet will likely fit.

...the seat on my zero turn is adjustable that way and also there is a forward and back control which ya can't adjust while your sitting in the seat and ya has to have3 a wrench to do it (10mm I thinks)

SO I went to the Service department this morning to find out ifm y suspicions were correct.
Unfortunately, they were. Transmission needs replaced after FOUR mowing season of a residential yard. Flat as a pancake I might add.

The riding mower would not go forward or in reverse. It was housed inside my large storage shed during all seasons.. Never kept outdoors.

SO, I went and purchased a NEW Husqvarna riding mower about four weeks ago because the grass does not stop growing..

Its a nice mower. I do not like the seat as much as the Cub but it works nicely. The other thing I am not thrilled with is the height adjustment is ony in ONE INCH increments instead of HALF INCH incrememnts like the Cub Cadet.

The good news is that it works and cuts grass and goes forward and in reverse... We'll see how long this one lasts..
