LOL!!!!!!! We forgot to ask the basic question:
"How's your mathematics?" A lot of things one runs into depending upon the discipline of engineering one majors in is a lot of mathematics.
When I started my work career I used a lot of trig and algebra and plane geometry. So t here will be an emmphasis on mathematics for good reason and will need it even in architectural engineering for figuring stress loads on various materials and buildings. This way if they are calculated right, and built right, and mother nature does not interfere, the buildings or highways will not come crashing down as we have seen lately, in addition to falling apartment buildings.
In my work, I am dealing with stress loads primarily and then making recommendations for upgrades and improvements
for that client. Of course things need to be speced out and done according to local codes but that is typical all across the country.
I enjoy finding solutions to problems and solving them. That is why I haven't laid down and retired from that stuff. I get satisfaction from accomplishing something that helps a client and their facility.
After those things, I also have extreme expertise in other manufacturing processes among which is Powder Coating technology and applications. So when it comes to product finishing this is becoming more and more a popular choice, or even the metal eaves and overhangs on stores that are poowder coated for longevity.
I am one of two people in the country who have been working in powder coating ever since it came to the United States. over 42 years ago.. I work with the other person on projects a lot. He is very bright and was on the team that invented architectural grade AAMA 2604 and 265 powders for long life in High ultra violet light environments.
Yesterday I tutored someone I took to the largest powder coating plant in greater cincinnati about powder coating basics so they knew the prepatory things that are required before ever just sprayting powder on something and thinking it will last or even work..
I am loafing today. My nickname is RAINBOW, The original 8 hour loaf.. a lot of you may not remember the rainbow bread commercials in yer childhood but thatis where that phrase comes from.
Got to take miz micro to grocery store now. She feels the need to spend money and support the local economy..
LAter everyone.
