The teaching experience and high GPA are qualities 6-year Ph.D. programs want. You might want to encourage your grandson to consider going that route. If he gets a Ph.D. he can be hired to teach at the University level instead of Intermediate or High School, and if he prefers Intermediate or High School, he'll be a candidate for School Principal after a few years. The degree opens doors. Should he decide after two years that he doesn't want to continue pursuing it, he can still drop out and leave with a Masters degree paid for by the University he was in. Ph.D. programs even pay their students a few bucks - which is only fair since they're essentially slave laborers while they're there. Joey is paid something like $36,000 annually now. That's chicken feed considering California expenses and the hours he's putting in, but it's better to get that money from the school than to have to pay it TO the school while pursuing a Masters degree, right?

It's something to think about.

Joey's roommate and best friend from UVA went to Cambridge for a year and came back with a Master's degree. That's a pretty good program! He's now at UCLA, also looking for a Ph.D. His focus is Math. While the friend graduated from UVA when Joey did, he's now a year ahead thanks to Cambridge's one-year Master's degree and UCLA's 4-year Ph.D. I doubt there were many UVA roommates with brighter futures than those two.

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months

Us old folks was treated to a wonderful time of eating at Texas Road House restaurant earlier this evening with my daughter , my grandchildren who are both in college, and my son in law. His father passed about 5 years ago and he has adopted me as his dad. Its a good feeling and I am glad to be a dad to him..

I had a nice 6 ounce steak medium rare that was grilled to perfection. A very nice dinner salad and some warm rolls with soft butter and honey. It was very good and wonderful to actually sit down with my adult grandchildren.

Pray for my granddaughter Camryn as she undergoes a 3 1/2 hour surgery Monday to repair tendons, ligaments, and a cracked Heel bone in her right foot. These are softball injuries from this past year ay the university. The premier orthopedic group and head of the foot specialty department there is doing the work to get her back to some sense of normal.. My grandson will graduate college one full year ahead of schedule, with over a 4.0 GPA while playing on the university he attends mens football team, D2 competition. He wants to be a History teacher and will mostly next year be doing lots of student teaching.. I hope this is what he really wants.

I too am a history buff with emphasis on the Civil War era and early years of the UNited States during and after the Revolutionary War.

SO it was great to be with my family and the grandkids were not embarrassed to be with us in a restaurant .

It was a wonderful time together and very nice of my daughter to make over her father with love. Its meaningful..

I hope you guys all have blessed Father's days tomorrow.
My daughteris going out of town tomorrow on a trip so we spent time together today..

Have a great and wonderful evening all!

My best,

micro...
