SBR(short barrel rifle) legal by paying $200 to the ATF.
PDW(personal defense weapon) legal, no fee, until last January, illegal past May 31st, no way to pay the fee and keep it, turning millions into …..felons overnight.
Same things just the back of them different, one can be shouldered like a rifle with its stock, the other is supposed to be held with one arm, kinda difficult, and shouldered occasionally with its soft brace in the back.
The difference is you can buy the rifle and pay a $200 tax/fee to the ATF TO HAVE IT, the pistol required no fee at all until the bullshit ATF rule.
Effectively, the RIFLES are LEGAL, and have the same capabilities as the PISTOLS, the brace/ stock separating their naming/definition. Chucky says we need to take the pistols off streets, by making MILLIONS of Americans into FELONS ALL OF A SUDDEN, who haven’t paid the fee in time. Well, Chucky, how about the RIFLES? Aren’t they same thing and even more lethal as they can be shouldered far better/easier?
Basically, this is an ignorant act to appease the sheep but has virtually ZERO effect on the actual goal of theirs to ban these guns, because they can be had anyway by paying the $200!!! They even set a 5 month period for pistol owners to keep them by paying the $200. That’s how stupid, misleading, and misguided this bs is. No one who looks into this can figure out the ….logic of it.
