I like those graphs, Zim! Thanks. I just gave you a star for those and I am archiving the link so I can hopefully find it again.

"http://climatecraze.com/ and look at all the charts and read all the words . . . You might learn something."

The ones showing a lack of correlation between C02 and warm temperatures are nice.

What, specifically, are you asking me to consider? I didn't say the sun had no impact on climate; I only said I thought it was more complicated than that -- just as the charts seem to show it is quite complicated.

So this theory says that the earth's orbit around the sun varies through long periods do to gravitational interactions with Jupiter and Saturn and THAT causes change to the amount of sunlight hitting the earth? That sounds like an interesting theory. How exactly do those graphs support that as the only cause of earth's polar ice/no-ice variation?

In general, I am not sure what you are trying to educate me on with regard to this topic. It seems to me, you and I agree for the most part. I think government's have contaminated the data and not made their case.

I only wanted to point out that humans DO add heat to the environment; are you trying to say that burning oil isn't an exothermic chemical reaction?

Maybe you posted something which was critical to your argument and I missed it. I would consider it a kindness if you would take the time to lay it out for me again, and I will try harder this time.

One of the things I like about this place . . . is if I pony up a cockamamy theory people smarter than me in here will point out not just that it is lunacy, but why. And I do contemplate the error of my ways and correct my course.

You, on the other hand appear unwilling to contemplate evidence that contradicts whatever it is you want to believe. If that is so then there is no point in my trying to educate you.

Credit: NASA/JPL-Caltech Eccentricity - Earth's annual pilgrimage around the Sun isn't perfectly circular, but it's pretty close. Over time, the pull of gravity from our solar system's two largest gas giant planets, Jupiter and Saturn, causes the shape of Earth's orbit to vary from nearly circular to slightly elliptical.

Point 1. Contemplate what a slight change in the earths orbit might do.

Point 2. Go to this site http://climatecraze.com/ and look at all the charts and read all the words . . . You might learn something.
