Hi De!
Thanks. It seems like you guys are having a lot of fun together. That is awesome. I don;t think I could drive anywhere with miz micro in the car because of all the hands and arms flying whenever a car gets within 200 feet of us in another lane... She's always driving from the passenger seat and yet one would think we were always going to be involved in an accident somehow.

I have a friend whose wife does the sme thing.

Mine won't drive on the interstate but she doesn;t mind telling me how fast to go and what lane to be in and what my speed should be.. I keep telling her its amazing that I drive 40,000 miles a year on all kinds of roads, and highways and interstates and I have yet in my lifetime never been invovled in an accident that was MY fault and NO accidents on a interstate. A drunk driver hit us one time back in 1978 butthat was the last time I was hit until a semi truck tried to push me off a bridge back in 2016.

Oh well.

Enjoy the beauty of those plates!

Re: “can ya get radiation poisining from Uranium plates?”
Maybe in theory - if you routinely hang a plate from your neck. But I've read that there are no documented cases of health issues due to uranium glass.

Following WWII, uranium glass was banned, but it was because uranium was needed by the government. When it was legalized again in the 1960s, the fad didn't catch on like it had earlier. Consequently, there isn't much modern uranium glass. Most pieces date from the 20s and 30s.

It's a fun hobby. I'm already watching for some glass display cabinets in which I can put the collection.
