No, it's NOT a lot of obstacles. Obama could have banned semi-automatic weapons in 2010 through the mechanism you so casually describe and support. He could have even described his action as bipartisan with the help of just one or two RINO allies.

What we're talking about is a clear violation of one of our Constitutional rights. It's not supposed to be permissible except by first amending the Constitution. This occurs at the State level, not through Federal overreach. I am frankly shocked that you're okay with weakening our rights through unConstitutional action.

Gun rights protect our country from enemies both foreign and domestic. Without them, odds are good that all of our rights would go away. They are the citizens' only and last defense against tyranny.
