I really like that set of spoons of the Monarchs of England De! THAT is special!

Did I ever ( I ask because my memory is so poor ) that Miz micro is a descendant of Queen Victoria thru her mother's side?

That and a couple dollars will get ya a nice Blizzard at Dairy Queen..... lol!!!!

Like you, I take a gazillion pills every day. My sum total before the heart issue became known was ZERO daily medications and one Multi Vitamin. (Centrum silver)

I take 12 pills every morning and 4 at night.

Question for you.

DO you still have times when your heart just hurts? Not the muscles around the chest area there but the actual heart? Mine started hurting on occasion throughout the day a few days ago and it gave me pause to wonder what the heck is going on..

I am almost afraid to call the cardiologist's office for fear they may think I am an alarmist. Wonder if this is a question my primary care doc can answer.

I have ONE task remaining to do in the second bath this morning. Need to install the latest towel rod miz micro got. Everything is Satin Nickel that is hardware in there. I personally liked the porcelain white fixtures we had but I did not get a vote... Laughing Laughing

Hope you guys have a FUN day today! And don;t do any stupid heavy lifting or sliding with your condition.

Wait till ya can get a little help. For me, it's what son in law's are for or grandsons who play college football.

You ain;t quite old enough to be there yet so enjoy your life while ya still have years left.

I think I am on a ten year countdown so I have some decisions to make. I am growing weary of traveling and dealing with airheads. Miz micro on the other hand enjoys all the extra money I make. What's a poor slob to do????? lol!!!!

Re: “So, when yer old and do a bunch of stuff that you normally don't do, there is a aching muscle and joint price to pay..”
I'm sure I told you that 3 ½ years after my surgery, I am not back to normal. At this point, I'm resigned to never feeling exactly the way I used to. Oh well. It's a lot better than the alternative.

Every one or two weeks, I need to draw a little blood and determine how quickly it coagulates. I have a meter for that. The Thursdays when I have to do it are called "Bloody Thursdays," and today was one such. To help me remember which ones are and are not Bloody Thursdays, I've been keeping a dime in my pill minder, either in the first morning slot or the second. If it's in the first morning slot, then it means it's a Bloody Thursday.

The problem is, I'm now taking so many pills that the dime is pretty well concealed. And because I don't want to drop a pill, I've gotten into the habit of practically pouring the pill minder contents straight into my mouth.

No, I didn't swallow the dime. But I came *that* close to doing so today. I was actually sloshing the pills around with a big gulp of water when I wondered what it was that was clacking against my teeth! LOL.

I'm getting old. It's time to come up with a new system.

After that, my day consisted of making a phone call to my buddy in Philadelphia to discuss the new book that we are reading, "All Shook Up: How Rock 'n' Roll Changed America," then heading off to an auction pick-up location to get some of yesterday's winnings ... one lot of lamp shades, and three lots of silver. I'll post a photo of one of the silver batches at the bottom of this message.

Then, we spent an hour at a thrift store that had nothing good, then hit a store and bought a 9x12 rug for the Master Bedroom, went to the new house to unload, then spent a few hours setting up some things, and packing & inventorying various items already brought there.

We were gone over eight hours. Our poor dawg nearly had a bladder-burst when he saw us.

So that was OUR day. Tomorrow and Saturday are likely to be busy as well. I'm coordinating with an on-line seller to buy a really nice "portable island" for the kitchen. The biggest issue is its weight. He says it has to be carried down stairs. While that probably wouldn't be an issue for YOU, micro, wimpy old Decomposed might just struggle with it.

Once it's out of the seller's house, all is golden. We've got a flatbed trailer that will make transporting it a breeze, and I know someone who can help get it into the new house if we can't do it alone.
