You should tell her sometime that you are descended from Henry the 8th. That should be interesting....
Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

Nobody did you any favors when that heart could have been taken care of much sooner. But maybe they did not have the technology or knowledge back then they did when your surgeon used a pig valve for ya.. Who woulda thunk it??

The kinda bad news for me is that Miz micro now takes pleasure in telling me what I cannot have to eat or snack on.. It's prolly for the best but she shouldn't enjoy it so much....

I take around 19 pills /day. MOST are supplements and different vitamins. I only have TWO prescriptions and a whole lot of supplements.

I am still way down with my weight which is good. I am wearing waist size now that I did when I was playing football in high School. I like that feeling!

I am five foot nine inches tall and right at 200 pounds.

A LOT of that is my large bone structure and skeleton.
I have never been what someone would call THIN but I also am not fat either. I was before. Not anymore.

SO I will be needing to get some new clothes so I am not looking baggy.. Doc loves my weight for my build. Its nice not having a front "bulge" any more.

SO I feel pretty good with that.
I think all these skeletal surgeries like the Hip replacement and the knee and the spinal fusion are all kinda wearing on me because at times they all are letting me know they are not happy.. And Tylenol arthritic strength just doesn't do much but is all I am allowed to take..

I guess for the rest of the lifespan I have its just one day at a time.. Enjoy each one.. We don't know what tomorrow may bring..

UhOh. Miz micro is calling.. See y'all later...

Re: “DO you still have times when your heart just hurts? Not the muscles around the chest area there but the actual heart? Mine started hurting on occasion throughout the day a few days ago and it gave me pause to wonder what the heck is going on..”
Yes, on rare occasion. But I also had pain only on rare occasion before the surgery.

When I told my cardiologist a year or two later that I still experience this occasionally, he told me that my heart surgery was probably done a little later than it should have been. It used to be that valve problems were ignored until pain or other symptoms developed. Now the thinking is that surgery should be done earlier because by the time pain is being experienced, damage is occurring. How nice to learn that when it's already too late! Since I was an infant, doctors knew my heart valve would eventually need replacing. But not once did they suggest scheduling surgery until the stenosis was already quite severe.

My wife is a genealogy enthusiast. She reminds me every so often that she is descended from both Charlemagne and Henry III. She usually tells me this when she wants to have something done.
