I discovered some time ago the best thing about owning a company is when you get to finally sell it to someone else to carry on. Hopefully you sell it for a good number. It was the route I took. The plant is operating today and likely will continue on for some time. Unlike me.
I plan on enjoying whatever time I have left here on earth and being more involved in ministry and serving others in need.
We decided this morning to "endow" our grandchildren with financial assistance for their tuitions. Normally that would be the parents job but God has blessed my wife and I and it would not be a hardship to us to help the kids not rack up debt from being in college. Grandson will graduate a year early. We are proud of his academic success and his gentle and softspoken demeanor. I believe he will not be playing football this season. He is tired of it and would rather focus on his future career as a High School teacher of History.
I am trying to figure out how to wind down from my consulting and miz micro not be all over me about not working. It actually hurts me physically to go on long trips and be on my feet in plants on concrete floors and then trying to sleep on a hotel bed in a strange place does not make for a good night's sleep.
We don't need the money so I wonder what the real reason is she wants me to keep on going while she stays home all the time and runs around with her sisters. Something not quite adding up here.
