I have spent a lot of years visiting people in hospitals, on death beds, on streets and sidewalks counseling them and talking with them about how they can be sure they have a Home in Heaven and be in God's presence and His Heaven.
I have seen people on death beds screaming just before they died. They saw the fires of Hell.
I watched intently my dear mother in law on her death bed as she passed from this world to the next. She got the most peaceful look on her face right before she passed on. I know where she went and what and who she saw..

People have the mistaken idea that if they "belong" or "are a member of" some Church, ANY church, that they are guaranteed a home in heaven. Unfortunately, the Scriptures do not say that.. Admittance into GOD'S HOLY Presence and Kingdom requires that a human being have a right heart and a redemption that was bought and paid for by the Lord Jesus Christ. HE alone freely offers pardon of all of anyone's sins and HIS blodd that was shed on the Cross as the atonement for our sins, does just that. . The BIble clearly states "that without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sin"
So belonging to or being a Church member is not the way to Heaven. Nowhere does the Bible say that. It is only through Christ and HIS Cleansing by HIS own blood HE shed for all the sins of the entire world past, present, and future, (because HE as GOD lives in the past, present, and future)
And all this nonsense being bantered around by no nothings that one has to be a Catholic church member in good standing no less, and have a gazillion people supposedly "PRAY THEM" into Heaven, is just that. Propganda and a lie from Satan Himself. He is the great deceiver and preys on the Ignorant people of the Holy Scriptures.
So if someone, like JOE, is counting on being a member of a "church" to save them from going to hell and guaranteeing them entry into GOD's Kingdom and realm, they will be very, very mistaken and will pay a price for their rejection of Christ for eternity in the fires and flames of Hell..
Anyone can believe a lie for a lifetime. it is up to them to look around and realize that clues surround us as to the existence and works of God HERE ON THIS PLANET AND THE SUN, MOON, AND STARS.

So, Joe is on his way to eternal destruction and torture as far as I can see and tell. Nobody can tell him anything because he thinks he knows it all. He would rather go to hell than listen to anyone who can pointhim to God's Word and show him how to go to Heaven and be with God instead.
