Re: “Very scenic. How wide is that stream do ya think?” The first is a stream; the second is a pond. I know exactly where the pond is, but I'm not sure which stream that is. There are streams all over the place here. Most of them are 30 to 50 feet across, so that's what I would guess.

The Connecticut River and lakes in the area always have boats and fishermen. The bigger streams only sometimes do, but I expect they have fish. The bad news is that a lot of them also have leeches. In fact, somebody warned about that on my town's Facebook page just yesterday. A woman suggested taking her grandkids to swim in a nearby, well-known pond near town centerand others quickly nixed her plan. Fortunately, not all of the ponds and streams have leeches. There are places here where a person could swim. The water will be cold, though. Today is the first day this year to hit 90°.
