I won't be sure of this until I see for myself, but my wife tells me that our town center took major damage from yesterday's storm. Last night she said that the road leading from the town center toward our new land had washed out. That may involve the new bridge - which took them two years to rebuild following storm damage just a few years ago. I hope it's NOT the bridge. Now she tells me that the road leading to the town center also washed out, possibly destroying a different bridge. Fortunately, the town center has a third access road. So the people there haven't been isolated, just inconvenienced. Majorly inconvenienced.

We traveled both of these damaged roads yesterday, coming and going from our new house. If my wife is right, then the trip from here to there will be a lot harder from now on.

I may hop in the car later today and take a look. If I can get anywhere near the damage, I'll post photos.
