Well, you never know but wearing a mask is something to take seriously and not deviate from it. There is no “well maybe I can swing in there for a moment and i’ll be ok”, or taking it off to eat on a plane or indoors at a restaurant. Masks work, but only if they are the right ones, worn properly, and you don’t bend the rules of wearing them. They are simple but strict.
Were going to hold out for that next coming this fall, but with the wedding coming along, went for the current booster...
No plane rides for us for quite a while, pre-covid, but inlaws, were nailed even with current boosters on return trips from Hawaii, Mexico, masked, etc... Nasty bug!
One mistake, by someone, and here we are, dealing with Paxlovid's side effects... I've had worse colds, bronchitis, pneumonia over the years, but not at this age, making it a bit concerning.. Octogenarian survival!! So far as we know everyone else at the wedding is OK...
